District Health Society Banka

This is the District Health Society Banka. We are located in the Thana Colony in Bounsi. Our office is easy to find since it’s near the police station area, which is what Thana Colony refers to. Bounsi is a small town in the Banka district of Bihar. It’s a humble setup where we manage the local health programs for this part of the region. The building is basic and fits in with the rest of the colony. We have a few rooms where we keep our files and meet with health workers. It’s often quite busy with people coming in from the surrounding villages to discuss health charts or supply needs. The weather in Banka can be quite intense, very hot in the summer and dusty, but we keep the fans going in the office. We don’t have any corporate decorators; we just have what we need to get the job done. Tables, benches for visitors, and our record books. Being in Thana Colony means it’s a safe and central spot for us to operate. The post office is also close by, which helps with sending out reports to the higher offices. We’ve been operating from this Bounsi location for a while. It’s a very local operation and we know most of the people who come through the door. We aren't here to impress anyone with the office, just to make sure the health services in the district are being looked after properly with what we have.
