Goutham Concrete Products is located down at 26-7-31 in the Industrial Area. It’s exactly what you’d expect from a place that works with cement all day. There is usually a layer of grey dust on everything and the sound of mixers going. We make various concrete items for building projects around here. It isn't a quiet job, but it keeps us busy. We started out small and just stayed in the same spot because it works for the trucks. The layout of the yard is simple. We have the casting area and then the space where everything sits to dry out. It’s not a polished showroom or anything like that. If you come by, you’ll probably see the guys moving heavy blocks around or loading up a flatbed. We don't have a big front office staff. Usually, whoever is nearest the gate helps out. The weather affects us quite a bit, especially when it rains, but we manage. Being in the industrial zone makes it easier for the bigger lorries to get in and out without getting stuck in town traffic. We just focus on getting the mix right and making sure the products are solid. It’s plain work, honestly. We’ve been at this address for a good stretch of time and most locals know the gate. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The stacks of blocks are the first thing you see when you arrive at the yard.
