Vishnu Motors

Being near Dhobi Ghat Circle means there is always a lot of noise and traffic moving around. Vishnu Motors is tucked away here in Rajaji Nagar, just to the west of Chord Road. We spend most of our time under the hoods of cars. It is dusty and greasy work, but that is just how it is. If you are looking for the place, we are quite near to the Nandini Hotel, which most people know. The shop floor is usually covered in oil stains that just won't go away no matter how much we scrub. I have been working on engines for a long time now, starting back when I was just a kid. We handle things like oil changes or fixing those annoying rattles that cars get after driving on these roads. Sometimes parts take a few days to arrive from the suppliers, and things get a bit backed up in the garage. We have a small crew of guys who help out with the heavy lifting. It is not one of those fancy glass showrooms you see in other parts of Bangalore. It is just a practical workshop where we get our hands dirty every day. We have our regulars who come by whenever something sounds wrong with their brakes. We just keep our heads down and do the work. The traffic outside never seems to stop, but inside we just focus on whatever car is on the lift at the moment.
