Over at Banneraghatta Road, inside Swaminarayan Society 2 at number 16, you’ll find the space we’ve set up for Urban Raga. It’s a bit of a departure from the noise of the main road once you step inside. We focus on music and arts, so there’s usually the sound of a piano or a guitar being tuned somewhere in the background. The walls are covered with posters and some instruments that have seen better days but still play fine. We don’t have a big corporate front; it’s more like a community spot where people come to learn or just hang out around music. The furniture is a bit mismatched, and we’ve got a rug that’s seen a lot of foot traffic over the years. We spend our time organizing schedules and making sure the instruments stay in tune, which is a never-ending job with the humidity here. Sometimes the neighbors pop in just to say hello or see what we’re up to. It’s a casual atmosphere where we don't worry too much about being formal. We just want to keep the music going in our little corner of the society. It can get a bit hectic during the weekends when everyone is free, but during the week, it’s a nice, steady place to be. We just handle the daily tasks of running Urban Raga without any big fuss.
