Down in Basavanagudi, you’ll find Unique Door Solutions at 163/B on the 2nd Main in Phase II. Basavanagudi has that old-school Bangalore feel that we really like. There are plenty of trees on the street, which makes the walk to the office nice during the mornings. Our building at 163/B is a simple structure. We deal with doors all day, so you’ll usually see a few leaning against the walls or being moved in and out of the workspace. It’s physical work and it can be a bit dusty, but it’s what we know how to do. The team is just a handful of guys who have been working together for a long time. We don’t have a big HR department or anything like that. If there’s a problem, we just talk about it and fix it. Some days are longer than others, especially when we have a lot of orders to get through. We have a small kettle for tea and a few biscuits in the drawer for when we need a break. It’s not a high-tech office with glowing lights. It’s just a workshop and a small office area where we keep the books and handle the paperwork. Unique Door Solutions is just a regular local business in a quiet part of town. We like the pace here and the fact that we can focus on the job without too many distractions.
