We set up shop here in Kasturba Nagar on the 1st Cross. It’s a small street but we’ve made it work for us. We make molds here. It’s precise work, but the shop itself is usually a bit of a mess with materials and tools everywhere. We don’t mind it much. Each mold takes time to get right. We spend hours looking at drawings or just trying to figure out the best way to shape something. It’s not a fast process. Sometimes we have to redo things if they don't look right. We’ve been at this for a while now. Neighbors know us by the sounds coming from the workshop. We keep things pretty simple. There isn’t a big sign out front or a fancy lobby. If you want to talk to us, you just walk in. We might be busy with a machine, so you might have to wait a minute. We handle different types of orders, mostly small stuff for local folks or small workshops. It’s just a day-to-day routine of measuring and cutting. We try to keep our tools sharp and the workbench clear, but that doesn’t always happen. It’s a real working shop, not a showroom. We use every bit of space we have in this building. Working on the 1st Cross means we get to know everyone on the block. It’s a tight space, but we’ve learned how to fit our machinery in just right. We just do the work.
