Trinetraalaya Eye Care & Surgical Centre

So, we are over here at Srinagar, specifically on 13th Main in the Banashankari 1st Stage area. Most people just know the building because of the sign out front for Trinetraalaya Eye Care & Surgical Centre. It isn't a huge place, just a regular clinic where we see folks coming in with all sorts of eye problems. Some days it is really quiet, and we just sit around the front desk talking, but then other times the waiting room gets completely full and we have to move fast. We do surgeries here, which means the back rooms stay pretty cold and sterile. It’s mostly cataract stuff or fixing things that people have been ignoring for too long. People come from all over the block, and sometimes from further away if they heard about us from a neighbor. We have been at this 22/2 spot for a while now. The staff here, well, we all know each other's coffee orders by now. It is just a job, but seeing someone leave after a surgery and actually being able to see where they are walking makes the long hours feel okay. We don't have fancy leather chairs or anything like that, just the usual clinic setup. It gets dusty because of the road construction nearby, so we spend a lot of time wiping down the machines and the windows. That is basically our life here in the 1st Block.
