Our office is located up on the third floor of Rana Castle in the Kilpauk area. It is quite a bit different from the actual mills because it is mostly paperwork and phone calls in this space. We handle the management and administrative side of the business from this spot in Aspiran Garden. There are usually stacks of files, ledgers, and various samples of fabric laying around on the desks. It is a busy place but in a more clerical way than the factory floor. We spend most of our time talking to suppliers and checking on the production schedules for the week. The elevator in this building is a bit slow and temperamental, so most of us just end up taking the stairs to the third floor. Being in Kilpauk is convenient for a lot of our staff and it is a good central location. We have been at this address for a long time. It is not a showroom for our textiles, just a functional workspace where the office tasks get done. Sometimes the heavy monsoon rains make the commute into this part of the city a bit of a mess, but we are always here at our desks. We deal with the logistics of the mill and make sure the yarn and cloth get to where they are supposed to go. It takes a lot of coordination between the office and the mill workers. You will not find any fancy decorations here.
