We are over in Chandra Layout, up on the 4th floor of No. 96. It’s right in the Attiguppe area, near Ward 40. Being on the 4th floor means we get a decent breeze, which helps when the kitchen gets hot during the dinner rush. We started this restaurant because we liked the idea of a place where people could just grab a beer and some food without it being a whole big production. The building itself is pretty standard for the neighborhood. We spend a lot of our time dealing with suppliers and making sure the fridge stays cold. It’s a lot of work running a kitchen and a bar at the same time. The staff is a mix of people from all over, and we all just try to get along and get the job done. We don't have a designer interior, just tables and chairs that are sturdy enough for a busy Friday night. Sometimes the music is a bit loud, but that’s just the way it goes here. We’ve had some issues with the plumbing in the past, but we got that sorted out last year. It’s a real place with real problems and real people working here. We just want to serve the food and keep the beer flowing for anyone who walks in. People in Chandra Layout seem to like having a spot close by. It’s nothing fancy but it works for us.
