Swastik Wires

We are based at Sardar Patrappa Road, right on the Main Road at number 3. It’s a prime spot for a wire business because the road is always full of people looking for hardware and electrical supplies. Swastik Wires is a no-frills kind of place. We have rolls of wire stacked against every available wall, and the smell of rubber and copper is always in the air. The shop is long and narrow, stretching back quite a bit. We have a heavy wooden counter at the front where we talk to people and handle the cash box. There isn't any air conditioning, so we rely on a couple of old ceiling fans that click as they spin. The floor is made of stone slabs that have worn smooth over the decades. We get a lot of foot traffic from the main road, so it can get pretty hectic in the middle of the day. We don't have a computer system; everything is written down in big yellow registers. It takes a bit longer that way, but we are used to it and it works for us. Our staff is just a couple of guys who have been working together for a long time. We know our stock inside out and can usually find what someone needs without looking at a list. It’s just a regular, hard-working shop on a busy street where we do what we do.
