Sutures India is out in the Peenya Industrial Area, specifically in the III Phase at No. 118. If you’ve ever been to Peenya, you know it’s all about manufacturing and big sheds. Our place is where we make the threads and needles used in surgeries. It’s very precise work, but the environment is still very much an industrial one. The machines run pretty much all day long, and there is a constant hum in the background. We have a lot of workers who come in on shifts. It’s not the kind of place with a fancy lobby. Most of the building is taken up by the production floor and the sterilization areas. We spend a lot of time checking the quality of what comes off the line because you can’t have mistakes with things like sutures. The roads in Peenya can be pretty rough, especially when it rains, and there are always trucks blocked up near the gates. We’ve been here for quite some time now, and we are just one of many factories in this part of town. Lunchtime is usually spent in the common area or people bring their own tiffins from home. It’s hard work, and the eyes can get tired from looking at small things all day, but it’s a steady job. We just focus on keeping the machines running and meeting the numbers we need for the week. It's a lot of repetition, but it's important.
