Surya Agarbatti

Surya Agarbatti is located right opposite 137, near the last bus stop in Bapunagar. We are very close to the Bapunagar Char Rasta, which is always a busy spot. If you are walking nearby, you will probably smell the incense before you see our door. We have been making agarbatti here for a long time. It is a very manual process, with people sitting and rolling or packing the sticks by hand. The air is always thick with the scent of sandalwood, jasmine, or whatever we are making that day. It is a bit of an old-fashioned way of doing things, but it works for us. Our workspace is filled with bags of raw materials and stacks of finished boxes ready to go out. It is not a high-tech factory. It is more like a large workshop where everyone knows their job. The Bapunagar area is always bustling with people getting on and off the buses, so there is a lot of noise coming in from the street. We do not mind it much. We just keep our heads down and keep working. Sometimes we have a little chat with the neighbors who pass by. It is a simple business based on a lot of tradition and hard work. We are just local people making something that people use in their homes every day. It is not glamorous, but it is what we do and we have been doing it for years. That is basically our story.
