The S S Industrial Area in Rajajinagar is all about noise and movement. We are located at 13/1 on the 2nd Cross of the 5th Block. It is a busy part of the city, and you can hear the machines humming from the street before you even get inside the gates. The unit is mostly concrete and metal. We have a heavy metal door at the entrance that has been painted over so many times the original color is a total mystery. Inside, things are organized in a way that only makes sense to those of us who work here every day. There are piles of components here and there, and the air always has that faint smell of oil and warm metal. We do not have much of an office, just a couple of desks pushed against the wall near the window. The window itself is quite small and looks out onto the narrow alley where the delivery trucks park. Most of the day is spent on our feet, moving between the different workstations and the storage area. It is tiring, sure, but it is the kind of work that keeps you focused on the task at hand. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though it is hard to hear over the equipment. Everyone here has their own routine, and we do not really need to say much to get through the day. It is just Suman Electric Udyogs, a place where people work.
