Out here in Bidadi, right on B.m. Road, you’ll find us at 1678/252. This road is always under some kind of construction it feels like. There’s always dust in the air and the sound of trucks passing by. Our clinic is tucked in between a couple of shops, so if you aren’t looking for the sign, you might miss us. It’s a simple setup. We have a front desk that’s a bit cluttered with papers and a few benches for people to sit on while they wait. The walls are painted a light green that’s faded over the years. We get a lot of workers from the nearby factories coming in with small injuries or just a cold. It’s not a big place, so when three or four families show up at once, it feels very crowded. We don’t have a fancy paging system; we just call out names when it’s time. The back room where the exams happen is small but clean enough. Sometimes the power goes out for a few minutes in the afternoon, and we just wait it out. It’s just how things are in this part of town. We’ve been here long enough that we know the local bus schedules by heart just by watching people run out the door to catch one. It’s a busy little spot but we manage to keep things going day after day.
