You can find us over at No-05 Nrupathunga Road. This place is known as St. Martha’s Heart Centre, and the operations are managed by Narayana Health. Being situated on Nrupathunga Road means we are right in the middle of a very old and busy part of the city. It is a place with a lot of history and those big, old trees that line the streets outside. We spend nearly all our hours inside these walls. It is a serious environment because of the heart-related work that goes on here every single day. People come through our doors with all sorts of concerns about their health. We just try our best to keep things moving along and ensure the paperwork is handled. It can feel like a bit of a maze inside sometimes, with different corridors leading to various rooms for testing. We have a lot of different people coming in and out, from the doctors and nurses to the patients and their families. The management from Narayana Health helps keep the background stuff running so the rest of us can focus on the person standing right in front of us. Some days are definitely much longer than others. You eventually get used to the sounds of the monitors and the quiet talking in the hallways. It is not a fancy office space, just a practical location where medical work happens. We keep the floors clean and the lights on through the night.
