Sree Kamal Silks

You can find us at number 24 on Sadashiva Temple Road in the R S Palaya area. We are near the M S Nagar post office, which makes it easy for people to find the general location. The shop is full of silks and other fabrics, and we have been here for a good number of years. It’s a bit of a traditional setup. We don't have a lot of modern gadgets, just our shelves and a sturdy counter for showing the cloth to anyone who stops by. The temple nearby means there is always a bit of a crowd, especially on festival days or during the mornings. We usually start the day by sweeping the front and getting the displays ready. It can get a bit dusty because of the road, so we are always wiping down the counters. We like the neighborhood because it feels lived-in and real. Most of our day is spent talking to the locals and helping them find what they need. We don't do a lot of fancy advertising. People just know we are here on the temple road. We share our meals in the back of the shop, and sometimes the neighbors come in just to chat for a bit. It’s a simple way to run things, but it has worked for us for a long time now. We hope to keep the shop going for a while yet and keep the fabric moving.
