We are out here in Sanand, right near the Sardar Patel Ring Road. The address is Rabrindranath Tagore Nagar, number 96. This is where we make electrical insulators. It’s a lot of industrial work. The factory floor is usually loud and there is always something being moved around. We deal with materials that can handle high voltage. It’s not the kind of thing most people think about until the power goes out, but it's important stuff. We have a crew that’s been with us for years. They know the machines inside out. We don’t have a big front office with fancy carpets. Most of the space is taken up by the production line and storage. We get orders, we make the insulators, and we ship them out. The ring road makes it easy for the trucks to get in and out, which helps. Sometimes things get hectic when a big order comes in, but we manage. We aren't interested in being the biggest company, just in doing the work properly. We use a lot of ceramic and specialized materials. It’s heavy work and the heat from the kilns can be a lot in the summer. We just put our heads down and get it done. It’s a basic business. We’ve been in Sanand long enough to know the local rhythms. Just a group of people making parts for the grid. There is no polish here, just manufacturing.
