Sirius Zip Fasteners Ltd.

Our place is at No. 13/2-b in Pattandoor Agrahara, which is right near Hope Farm in Whitefield. It’s a busy area these days with all the new buildings going up, but our shop keeps a steady rhythm. We focus on zips and fasteners, which sounds like a small thing until you see thousands of them piled up in the bins. The machines make a constant clicking sound that you get used to after about ten minutes of being inside. It’s a bit of a trek to get here because of the Whitefield traffic, but once you’re inside, it’s just a regular workshop. We have boxes stacked up to the ceiling in some parts of the room. We spend our time checking the teeth on the metal zippers and making sure the plastic pulls move smoothly. If a zip sticks, it’s no good to anyone, so we have to be careful with the batches. The staff here has been around for a while and everyone knows their job. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. It’s mostly just metal and nylon moving through the assembly. Near the Hope Farm junction, things are always moving fast, but we try to keep our work steady. Sometimes we have tea outside near the gate just to get away from the noise of the machinery for a bit. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday without much fuss.
