Sindhoor

Sindhoor is located right on the Sarjapur Mainroad. If you live around here, you know how that road can get with all the traffic and the construction always going on lately. We spend a lot of our time just managing the daily flow of people coming in and out of the shop. The place isn't tucked away or hidden; it’s right there where all the action is. We started this because we wanted to have something local for the people living in the surrounding apartments and the newer houses that keep popping up. It’s not a massive corporate store with a bunch of rules, just a regular place where we sell what people need for their homes. Every morning starts with cleaning the front and getting the lights on before the heat really kicks in. We see a lot of the same faces every week, which is the best part of being here. Sarjapur has changed so much over the years, but we've stayed right here on the main road. The dust from the road can be a bit of a pain to clean every single day, but we keep the place as tidy as we can. We aren't trying to be the biggest or most famous store in the city, just a reliable one for the neighborhood folks. Sometimes we sit out front when things are quiet and just watch the bikes go by. It’s a simple life running a shop on a main road like this. We just keep the shelves stocked and hope the monsoon doesn't flood the street too bad.
