Most days start around nine when we open up the shop at 996, 2nd Cross. It is tucked away in Srinivasanagar, near the 9th Main in Bsk 3rd Stage. This part of Bangalore is mostly quiet until the traffic picks up later on. We have been at this workbench for a long time now, fixing things and looking at wires. People come in with all sorts of electronic parts that stopped working. It is often a mess of soldering irons and screwdrivers on the table. We don't have a big fancy office, just a practical space where we can focus on the job. The shelves are full of components and old boxes we might need someday. Sometimes we sit here for hours trying to find a small fault in a circuit. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we do. Neighbors drop by to chat or ask about a repair, and we usually have the radio playing in the background. The address is easy to find if you know the inner lanes of 3rd Stage. We try to keep things simple and just get through the pile of work on the counter. It can get a bit dusty with all the old machines around, but that is just how an electronics place usually is. We just keep our heads down and handle whatever comes through the door each morning. It is honest work and it keeps us busy enough throughout the week.
