Shanti Jewels

Shanti Jewels is located at 16, Heritage on MG Road. We’ve been at this spot for a long time. It’s not a huge showroom with hundreds of staff and security guards everywhere. It’s just a few of us here. We spend our time looking at small things under bright lights and checking settings. The shop is small and we try to keep it clean, though the glass display cases always seem to have fingerprints on them by noon. We deal with gold and stones, but it’s more about the people who come in. Many of them have been coming to us for years and now they bring their kids. We remember their families and the stories they tell. We don't use big words to describe what we sell or try to pressure anyone into a purchase. We just show the pieces as they are. Sometimes we sit and chat with customers for a long time before they even look at anything. MG Road is always busy and loud outside, but it feels different once you step inside our door. We’ve got some old display cases that we probably should replace one day, but they work fine for now. We aren't trying to be the most famous shop in town. We just want to do right by the people who walk through our door. It’s a quiet life of small details and familiar faces. We just keep it simple.
