Over here at Sahara Waterproofing Company, we spend most of our time looking at roofs and walls. Our office is in Basavanagar 3, specifically on 2nd Cross in Rajiv Gandhi Nagar. It’s right near Aqsa Mosque Road in the 7th Sector. It’s a quiet enough area until the monsoon season starts, and then everyone starts calling us at once. We’ve seen all kinds of leaks, from small drips in the ceiling to big cracks in the basement walls. We take our bags and tools out to wherever the problem is. Most of the time, it's just about finding where the water is getting in and stopping it. We use different materials depending on what the building is made of. It’s physical work and you get pretty dirty with the chemicals and the cement, but it’s what we do. The team has been together for a while, so we don’t need to talk much while we’re working on a site. We just know who handles the brush and who does the prep work. We’ve worked on a lot of houses around this part of the city. People know us because we’ve been at this address for a long time. We aren’t trying to be the biggest company out there, just the one that shows up when your floor is wet. It’s honest work, even if it’s a bit tiring when the sun is out in the middle of the day. It gets done regardless of how we feel.
