We are tucked away at 39/1 on 1 Bazar Street in Neelsandra. If you know the area, you know how tight the lanes can get. It’s a lively spot with a lot of shops squeezed next to each other. Our building is right in the middle of the noise. You can hear the motorbikes and the vendors yelling out their prices all day long. It’s a bit of a maze getting here if you aren't familiar with the street numbers. Inside, we have a fairly simple setup. It’s crowded with materials and tools, which is just the way we like it because it means we have what we need. The light isn't always great in the back, so we have some extra lamps set up over the workbenches. We usually have the radio playing some local station in the background while we work. It helps the time pass. Lunchtime is the best because there are so many small food stalls right outside the door. You can get a good meal for a few rupees. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist. If you walk in, you’re likely to just see one of us covered in dust or looking at a drawing. It’s a working shop, not a showroom. We’ve stayed in Neelsandra because it’s central and we know the people here. It feels like home even when the street gets completely blocked by a delivery truck. We just wait for them to move and get back to what we were doing.
