S R Electricals is tucked away in Hanumanth Nagar, on the 4th Cross and 5th Main, at number 254. It’s a pretty quiet neighborhood compared to the main roads. The shop itself is filled with all sorts of electrical components, from simple light bulbs to rolls of heavy-duty wire. It’s not the most organized place in the world, but we know where every single item is kept. Usually, there’s a bit of dust on the higher shelves because we don’t get up there too often. We spend our time helping neighbors find the right bits for their home repairs. Sometimes people come in just to ask for advice on a DIY project they are working on. We have a small wooden counter that’s been here since we opened. The chair behind it squeaks every time someone sits down. We don’t have any big marketing plans or fancy displays. Most of our work comes from people walking by or folks who have lived in the area for years. The street outside has some nice shade from the big trees, which helps keep the shop a bit cooler in the afternoons. We usually keep a radio playing softly in the background to pass the time. It’s a simple life here. We just handle the sales, fix what we can, and keep the shop open for whoever needs us. It’s just a local business doing its thing and trying to be helpful.
