Rockstone Apparel House (Opc) Private Limited is located at No. 116, occupying both the first and second floors in Pantharapalya. Being right near the Mysore Road in Bangalore South means we are constantly surrounded by the noise of the highway and the metro construction that’s been going on forever. It’s a busy part of town, and we’re right in the thick of it. Having two floors is nice because we can keep the messy work downstairs and the paperwork upstairs, though we usually end up running back and forth all day anyway. The stairs are narrow, so moving rolls of fabric or boxes of clothes can be a bit of a challenge. We started this as a one-person company, so it’s always felt very personal. There’s no big board of directors or anything, just a small group of us getting things done. The neighborhood is mostly industrial and residential mixed together, so you see a lot of local workers and families around. The office gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a few fans that do the trick. We don’t spend much on decorating or making the place look "professional" because we’re more focused on making sure the orders are handled right. It’s a plain, honest workspace where we drink a lot of coffee and try to stay on top of the schedule. It's just how we work.
