We are located at Gf-1 in the K.S.S.I.D.C. Society Building, which is on 6th Main in the Peenya Industrial Area. This is part of the 2nd Stage, a place where you can find almost any kind of industrial work being done. Our unit is on the ground floor, which makes it easier for us to move the heavy equipment we use. Profiroll India isn't a huge corporation with a glass building. We just have this one solid unit in a busy part of Bangalore. The walls are painted a simple white, and we have our machines lined up along the sides to leave space in the middle. It can get quite noisy in here when everything is running, so we usually have to speak up to be heard. We don’t have a fancy waiting area for visitors, just a couple of plastic chairs near the entrance. The floor is often covered with metal shavings, so we spend a good amount of time cleaning up at the end of the shift. We get our tea from the small stall down the street and take our breaks standing outside. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the technical details of the work and don’t spend much time on anything else. Our neighbors are all hard-working people, and there is a shared understanding of the daily grind in Peenya. We just keep our heads down.
