Prestige Stones

Down in Anekal Taluk 98E, you’ll find us surrounded by stacks of stone. Prestige Stones isn't a showroom with shiny lights and fancy displays; it’s more of a working yard where the real work happens. The ground is always covered in a fine layer of stone dust, no matter how much we sweep. We spend our days moving heavy slabs around with the crane or cutting pieces down to the right size for whoever needs them. It’s loud, heavy work, and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty worn out. The sun hits this part of Anekal hard in the middle of the day, so we usually take a longer lunch when it’s at its peak. We have a small office area where we keep the paperwork, but mostly we are out in the yard getting our hands dirty. People come from all over the area because they know we have a decent variety of slabs sitting right here to look at. We don't do much in the way of talking ourselves up; the stones speak for themselves. You can see the different grains and colors just by walking through the rows. Sometimes a piece breaks during cutting and we have to figure out something else, but that’s just how it goes with natural materials. It’s a rough environment, but there’s something nice about working with something so solid and permanent every single day.
