Our spot is tucked inside the KIMS Hospital Campus over in VV Puram. If you head toward K R Road, you'll find the main gate, and we are located right at OPD No. 9. It’s a very busy campus with a lot of medical students and doctors walking around all the time in their white coats. Sometimes it’s a bit of a maze if you aren't used to the layout of the hospital grounds, and we often have to give directions over the phone to people who get turned around near the entrance. We’ve been operating out of this specific unit for quite some time now. Mostly, we deal with people coming in with kidney issues, and it’s usually a steady flow of patients from early morning until the evening. The waiting area isn't huge, but it serves its purpose for the folks waiting their turn. You can hear the bustle of the larger hospital nearby, but our center stays focused on its own specific tasks. The staff here knows the routine well, from filling out forms to getting people in for their scans or checkups. We don't spend much time on decorations or anything like that; the walls are mostly just plain. It’s just a practical space where the work gets done. Most patients come from the local area or are referred from other parts of the campus. It can get a little crowded on Mondays, like most medical places do. We just try to keep the line moving and help out.
