Pragati Granites

Our business, Pragati Granites, is over at No.4/2 on Bannerghatta Road. We are pretty close to Forum Mall in the Adugodi area. It's a busy spot with lots of cars and buses going by all day long. Working with granite is heavy work and there is usually a bit of dust around the yard. We have different slabs leaning against the walls and sometimes it’s hard to walk between them. It isn’t a shiny office. It’s a place where we move stones and talk to people about their house projects. We’ve seen Bannerghatta Road change a lot over the years, especially with the mall being so close now. The noise from the traffic is constant, but we’ve gotten used to it. My hands are usually a bit rough from touching the stone all day. We just open the gates in the morning and start moving things around with the crane if we need to. Customers usually come in with measurements scribbled on scraps of paper. We try to help them find what they need without making it too complicated. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until evening. Sometimes we sit outside on the plastic chairs when it’s quiet. That’s about all there is to say about us. Just a granite yard in Adugodi. We keep a logbook for the trucks coming in, but it often gets coffee stains on the pages.
