Banaswadi 3-A is where you’ll find our little shop. It’s on a street that stays pretty busy throughout the day. We’ve been here for a while now, and the neighbors have gotten used to seeing us open up early every day. The building is a bit older, so it has its quirks, like a door that sticks when it gets humid. Inside, we have our setup arranged to make the most of the space. It isn’t a huge place, so we have to be careful about not letting things get too messy. Most of our work involves sitting with people and helping them out with what they need. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. It’s a salon, and we do hair and skin stuff like any other place. The difference is probably just that we’ve been around long enough to know the names of the people on our street. We see the same faces every month. Sometimes we have a quiet afternoon where we just catch up on chores, and other times it’s a mad rush with people waiting by the door. We don’t have a lot of rules, we just try to be helpful and get the job done. It’s hard work being on your feet all day, but we don't complain much. It’s just what we do here in Banaswadi. We’re just a part of the local scene.
