Our location at 121 / C Chord Road is right in Rajajinagar 1st R Block, very close to the Mysore Soap Factory. You can sometimes smell the soap in the air when the wind blows the right way. It’s a landmark that everyone knows, which makes it easier for people to find us. We handle a lot of eye cases here, and the lobby is usually crowded with families waiting. There are rows of plastic chairs that have been there forever, and the floor is a bit worn down from all the walking. We open the doors early because people tend to arrive before we even start. The daily grind involves a lot of checking charts and making sure the doctors have what they need. It’s a practical environment, focused on the task at hand rather than looking pretty. We have a small area in the back for the staff to eat lunch, which is usually a quick affair. The traffic on Chord Road is always heavy, so the sound of horns is a constant background noise. Even so, we’ve gotten used to it and don’t even notice anymore. We just keep doing our bit, day after day, making sure the patients are seen and the schedules are kept. It’s a busy, noisy, but functional place that fits right into the neighborhood. People know us and we know the area, and that is enough for us.
