Working out of Deepanjali Nagar means dealing with a lot of dust and noise every single day. We are located at No. 6 in the Puttapa Industrial Estate, which is right off Mysore Road. If you know that area, you know how the traffic can be, especially with all the trucks moving in and out. The estate itself is always humming with the sound of machinery and people shouting to be heard over the engines. Our space isn't huge, but it fits what we do. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the crates that come in. The floor is concrete and has a few cracks from where we dropped heavy stuff years ago. We have a small corner for making tea, which is where most of our planning actually happens. It’s not a corporate setup with glass walls or anything like that. It’s just a place where work gets done. Sometimes the power goes out and we just wait it out by the door where there’s a bit of a breeze. We’ve known the guys in the unit next door for ages, so we help each other out when a delivery is too heavy. It's a busy life here on Mysore Road, and we’re just one part of the machine. We focus on the impex side, moving things from one place to another and making sure the labels are right.
