We are located at No. 42 and 43 on the 2nd Main in the 2nd Phase of the Peenya Industrial Area. If you’ve ever been to Peenya, you know it’s a maze of factories and narrow roads filled with lorries. At Microtex Energy Pvt. Ltd., we spend our time working on batteries and power storage units. The floor is usually busy with people in aprons handling lead plates and containers. It’s not the cleanest job in the world, and your hands definitely get dirty by the end of the shift. We have a lot of heavy machinery that hums all day long, and the smell of chemicals is just something you get used to after a week. Our office space is pretty cramped because we’d rather use the room for production and testing. We don’t really have a team of people to write fancy speeches about what we do. We just make batteries and hope they last as long as they are supposed to. Sometimes a batch doesn't turn out quite right and we have to start over, which is frustrating but it happens. We mostly just talk to each other about the schedule and who is handling which station for the day. It’s a lot of manual labor and keeping an eye on the charging racks. People around here work hard and go home tired. We aren't trying to change the world; we’re just making sure there’s power when someone flips a switch.
