Mesh Well Gears

Our place is over at B-221, 4th Cross in the first stage of the Peenya Industrial Estate. Peenya is a massive place, and it’s easy to get turned around, but we’ve been at this same spot for years. The workshop is usually a bit of a mess, with metal shavings on the floor and tools scattered on the benches. We make all kinds of gears, and each one takes a bit of time to get just right. We aren't a big company with a fancy lobby. When you walk in, you’re basically right in the middle of the shop. There’s no air conditioning, so we just leave the big doors open to let some air in, though it usually just brings in more dust. We’ve got a couple of old fans that rattle quite a bit, but we don't really notice it anymore. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so we don't have to talk much to know what needs to be done. We just get on with it. Sometimes an order is late because a machine broke down or a supplier didn't show up, and we have to work late into the night to catch up. That’s just the way it goes in this business. We don't have a marketing person or a fancy brochure. We just show people the work we’ve done and hope it’s what they’re looking for. It’s a honest day’s work for us.
