Our ENT center is right on Govindappa Road, which is a busy little street in Basavanagudi. It’s near the cross with R.v. Road, so we get a lot of local people coming in from the neighborhood. Basavanagudi still has that old-fashioned feeling with big trees and older houses, and our clinic fits right into that. We deal with everything related to ears, noses, and throats. It’s a specialized spot, so we see people who might have had an earache for weeks or a nose problem that won't go away. The waiting room has some old magazines and enough chairs to keep people comfortable while they wait for their turn. The staff here is small and we all know each other well. Sometimes the noise from the traffic on R.v. Road drifts in, especially when the buses go by, but mostly it’s just the sound of the doctor talking with patients. We don't use a lot of fancy medical jargon if we can help it; we just try to explain things in plain English. The clinic isn't huge, but it has the equipment we need for checkups and minor procedures. Most of our days are spent looking down throats or checking hearing levels. It’s honest work and we like being part of the Basavanagudi community. People around here appreciate that we’ve been in the same spot for a while and they know exactly where to find us when they have a blocked ear.
