Mathrushree Netralaya

Over in Gokulam Extension, things move a little slower than in the rest of the city. Mathrushree Netralaya is located at 818/ 819 on 16th A Main, specifically near the 2nd Cross. It’s a residential area, so we get a lot of retirees and families walking in. Our focus is on eyes, but the atmosphere is more like a living room than a clinic. We have some posters on the walls about how to take care of your vision, but they are a bit faded from the sun coming through the windows. The building itself is sturdy and has been part of the Gokulam landscape for a while. We don't have a big staff, just a few people who handle the testing and the glasses. We don't use any high-pressure talk or fancy sales pitches. If someone needs a new pair of lenses, we just show them what we have on the shelf. The 16th A Main road is usually lined with parked scooters and people walking their dogs. Sometimes the neighborhood kids play cricket nearby and we have to watch out for stray balls. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. We don't have a corporate office or a board of directors. It’s just us, the equipment, and the people who come in because they can’t see the newspaper as clearly as they used to. We keep the kettle going for tea in the afternoons.
