Manjusree Sagar Veg

Manjusree Sagar Veg is located right along the Hessaraghatta Banaswadi Main Road. It’s a loud area with all the traffic passing by at all hours, but we’ve grown used to it. I started working here a few years ago, and eventually, things just fell into place where I am running the day-to-day operations now. We serve strictly vegetarian food. Most of our customers are locals who live in the apartments around here or people commuting to work who stop in for a quick bite. The morning rush is definitely the hardest part of the day. Everyone is in a hurry, and sometimes the coffee machine doesn't want to start properly when it’s cold outside. We don't have a big team, just a few of us who have been together since the start. We’ve had our share of arguments in the kitchen about how much salt to put in the sambar, but we always figure it out. The chairs are a bit old and maybe some of the tables wobble if you don't put a piece of folded paper under the leg, but people don't seem to mind. We aren't trying to win any awards here. We just like cooking and making sure people leave with a full stomach. It’s a lot of standing on your feet all day, and my back hurts by the time we close up at night, but seeing the place full makes it feel okay.
