Manasa Medical Centre

Jayanagar 1st Block is one of those places that still feels like old Bangalore in some spots. Manasa Medical Centre is located at 125, 10th Main, and it’s a fairly quiet street compared to the main roads. We like it that way. The building is a standard house that was converted a long time ago. You can still see the old tile work in some of the rooms. We don’t have a big marketing budget or a team of people writing fancy brochures. Usually, it’s just one of us sitting at the front desk with a ledger and a pen. Most of our visitors are people who have lived in Jayanagar for decades. They remember when the trees on 10th Main were much smaller. We spend a lot of time just listening to people. It’s not always about the medicine; sometimes they just want to talk about how the neighborhood is changing. Our chairs are mismatched and the clock on the wall is usually five minutes fast, but nobody seems to mind. We don't have any grand goals other than being here when the door opens at nine in the morning. It’s a very local way of doing things. We know which pharmacy around the corner has the best stock and where to get a good coffee during the break. It’s a simple, predictable life at the centre.
