We've been up here on the second floor of Arco Towers for a while now. Lalbagh Road is always busy, so getting in and out can be a bit of a scramble some days. Mostly, we just spend our time surrounded by rolls of silk and other fabrics. It’s quiet inside once the door is shut, even with all the traffic noise outside. People usually find us when they need something specific that isn't in the regular shops. We handle a lot of different orders, some small and some quite big, and it keeps us on our toes. Sometimes the lighting in the office isn't great, but we make do. It’s a lot of checking threads and making sure the colors look right under the lamps. We don’t have fancy displays or anything like that. It’s just us working through the piles of stock. Most mornings start with clearing the desk and seeing what needs to go out that afternoon. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we set up here. Some neighbors left and new ones came in. We just keep doing our thing with the silk. It’s steady work, though it gets dusty around here with all the material. If you come by, just look for the stairs. We don't have a big sign out front, so you have to know where you're going. It's a simple setup, but it works for what we do. It takes a lot of patience to sort through the different grades of silk every day.
