If you’ve ever been to Gandhi Bazar in Basavanagudi, you know how packed and lively it gets. Leintz Pneumatics Pvt. Ltd. is right in the middle of all that action, up on the second floor of building number 6. Getting to the office means navigating through the crowds and the flower sellers downstairs, which can be an adventure on its own. Once you get up the stairs, it’s a lot quieter than the street below. We deal with pneumatics, so our space is often filled with catalogs and small valves or fittings. It’s an old building, so the rooms have high ceilings but the floors are a bit uneven in places. We don’t have a fancy lounge for visitors. Usually, people just pull up a plastic chair and we talk shop. It’s a very local way of doing things. Being in Basavanagudi gives us a lot of history, and we’ve been in this spot long enough to know most of the other shop owners nearby. We don’t use much high-tech office gear, just the basics to keep the orders moving. The view from our window is mostly the tops of other buildings and the busy street. It’s a practical place to work, even if it’s a bit of a squeeze sometimes. We like being part of the neighborhood bustle while we handle our daily business.
