We set up shop at Mahaveer Gardenia, right in Kumaraswamy Layout. Our unit is number 102 on the 32nd cross, which is a fairly quiet spot compared to some other parts of the city. We handle export work, which basically means we spend a lot of time on the computer and talking to people about shipping dates. It’s a Private Limited company on paper, but in the office, it feels more like a small family business. We’ve been at this for a bit now, learning the ropes of how to get things from one place to another without too many delays. Some days are slower than others, but then a big batch of work comes in and we’re all hands on deck. The 1st stage of the layout is a decent place to work from. We aren’t interested in those tall glass office buildings; this apartment-style setup works fine for us. We keep our overhead low and just focus on the task at hand. You won’t find any fancy brochures here, just piles of shipping logs and maybe some half-empty coffee mugs. It’s honest work, and we try to do it right the first time so we don’t have to fix mistakes later. Getting the details right matters a lot in this line of business, so we spend a good chunk of our time double-checking addresses and weights. That’s pretty much what life looks like for us here.
