Our place is in Malleswaram West, right at P.B. No. 5555. It’s an old part of the city and we’ve been a fixture here for many years. When you walk through the gates, you can tell it’s a place with a lot of history. The buildings have that solid, older look to them. We work on all sorts of electric equipment, and it takes a lot of different people to keep everything running. We have engineers, shop floor workers, and office staff all pulling in the same direction. The morning commute is always a bit of a challenge with the Bangalore traffic, but once we’re inside, we get into the flow of things. We aren't here to promise the world. We just make machines and components that people need. There’s a lot of pride in the work, even if we don't talk about it in a flashy way. You’ll find people here who have spent their entire lives learning the trade. We have a canteen where everyone grabs a bite and talks about the day’s problems. It’s a community as much as it is a company. We deal with big projects and small ones, but we treat them mostly the same. It’s about being reliable and getting the job finished. We don't need a lot of corporate polish to tell our story. The machines we build at Kirloskar Electric Co. Ltd. do that for us.
