Kims Heart Centre

Being located on K.R. Road in V.V. Puram means we are right in the middle of a very busy part of town. The hospital environment can be a bit heavy sometimes because we deal with heart stuff, but we try to keep things calm inside the centre. You can hear the buses and the horns outside, but once the heavy doors shut, it is just the sound of the machines and people talking in low voices. It is not a place for flashy decorations. Everything is white or gray and kept as clean as we can manage with so many people walking in and out all day. The doctors are usually rushing between rooms, and the nurses are always writing things down on clipboards or checking monitors. We do not have any fancy mission statements hanging on the walls. We just try to get the tests done right and make sure everyone knows what they need to do next for their health. It is a lot of work, and sometimes the days are very long, especially when there are a lot of patients waiting in the hall. We eat our lunch in a small breakroom that smells like tiffin boxes most of the time. It is a real place with real people doing a tough job. We do not pretend it is anything else. When the shift ends, we walk out into the evening traffic.
