Junior Electronics Engineer

If you are looking for us, we are over in Channagiri, which is in the Davanagere district of Karnataka. The shop is actually located at Prashanth Garments on J.C. Road. It’s run by the son of Mr. Lakshamana Rao M. Being a junior electronics engineer in a place like this means you see a bit of everything. One day you are fixing a radio and the next you might be looking at some equipment from the garment side of the business. J.C. Road is usually pretty busy with people moving around and bikes zooming past. We have a small workbench in the back where all the tools are kept. It’s a bit cramped with all the spare parts and old boxes, but it’s our space. We speak mostly Kannada here and know most of the people who walk by every morning. We don't have a fancy logo or a big website. It’s just a local business where we try to be useful with our hands. The weather in Davanagere is usually okay, but it gets dusty with all the traffic. We usually open up early and stay until the sun goes down. Sometimes we have to wait for parts to come in from the bigger cities, which can be a bit of a headache. But that’s just part of the job. It’s honest work and we are happy to be doing it here on J.C. Road. It feels good to help out the folks around here.
