Jayams Healthcare Centre is located inside the Shantha Complex on Lady Curzon Road. It is a busy part of town, so there is always noise from the street coming in through the windows. We’ve got number 20 in the complex, and it stays quite active from the moment we open the doors. People come in from all over the city because of where we are situated. The interior isn’t anything too modern, just functional rooms and a front desk that has seen better days. Our staff spends a lot of time organizing patient records and making sure the rooms are ready for the next person. It’s a bit of a maze inside if you aren’t used to it. We don’t use a lot of fancy words or have big posters everywhere. It’s just a medical office where doctors do their jobs and patients wait their turn. Sometimes the wait is longer than we’d like, especially on Mondays. The break room is small, so we usually take turns getting coffee. We deal with a lot of paperwork every day, which keeps the administrative side of things very busy. Being in a complex means we share the building with other businesses, so there is always a mix of people in the corridors. We just keep our heads down and focus on the daily tasks at hand.
