Iyer'S Cafe Llp

The cafe is tucked away on 7th D Main Road here in Muthyalnagar. It’s at No. 11, which isn't hard to find if you know the Mathikere area at all. We start things up quite early in the morning, mostly because the stoves take a bit to get going. You can usually smell the coffee and the tempered spices from down the street before we even open the shutters properly. It’s a small space, nothing like those big chains you see in the malls. We have a few tables that have been here as long as I can remember. Most of the people who come in are regulars who live just a few houses away or work nearby. They usually don't even have to order, we just know what they want as soon as they walk in. Sometimes the rain makes the street a bit messy, but people still come in to get out of the wet and have something warm. We spend a lot of time cleaning the counters and making sure the kitchen stays in order. It’s just a few of us working here. We don't really do much advertising or anything like that, people just find us by word of mouth. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking noise, but nobody seems to mind it. By evening, it gets a bit quieter, and we start prepping things for the next day. It’s a steady kind of life here in this part of town.
