India Automotive is sitting at No. 21, J C Road. We are directly across from Dena Bank. J C Road is a major place for anything to do with cars and trucks, so there is always a huge amount of activity right outside our door. It is a noisy street with a lot of dust and the constant sound of engines revving. Our shop is just one of many on this road, but we have been here at number 21 for a long time now. Most of the space we have inside is just for storing parts. We have shelves that go all the way up to the ceiling, and they are packed with all kinds of stuff. It is a bit like a maze if you don't already know where everything is kept. We don't have any room for a waiting area or nice chairs for customers. Usually, people just stand by the front counter and tell us what part they are looking for. It can get really hot inside during the middle of the day, but we keep a few fans running to move the air. Being opposite Dena Bank makes it very easy to give directions to anyone who is new to the area. We have a lot of regular customers who know exactly what they need when they walk in. There is no corporate feel here at all. We just wear our regular work clothes. It is just the way things go when you are working on J C Road.
