The Hgc Curie Centre is over here at Gate No. 2 of the St. Johns Medical College Hospital campus in Koramangala. It’s a busy part of town, and the hospital grounds are quite large, so people are always walking back and forth between the different buildings. We spend our days here focusing on oncology work, which keeps the staff pretty focused. You can see the traffic piling up outside on the main roads of Koramangala, but inside the campus, it feels a bit more separated from the city noise. The building itself is practical. We don't have fancy decorations or anything like that because the work we do is what matters. Most of the people working here have been in the medical field for years and just want to get things right for the patients. We deal with a lot of paperwork and scheduling, and the phones ring quite a bit throughout the day. Sometimes the wait times can be a little long because things get backed up, but we try to manage it as it comes. The area around St. Johns has plenty of small shops and places to grab a quick tea, which is where you might find some of the staff during their short breaks. It is just a regular place where people come when they are dealing with tough health issues. We don't try to be something we aren't, just a dedicated oncology center in a very busy part of Bangalore.
