Healthscribe India operates out of One Healthscribe Plaza in Koramangala Block 8. This part of the city is always packed with people and traffic. Our building is a bit of a landmark for us, but it’s just a standard office setup once you get inside. We deal with medical records and transcription, which means a lot of people sitting at computers with headsets on for hours. It’s generally quiet in the work areas because everyone needs to concentrate on what they are listening to. We spend our days typing away and making sure the documents are accurate. There’s a lot of data moving back and forth through the systems. We have a break room where people go to get away from their screens for a bit. The 8th Block of Koramangala has plenty of places to eat, so lunch is the best part of the day for many of us. We aren't a big flashy tech company with bean bags and games; it’s more of a traditional office environment. People come in, do their shifts, and head home. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generators to kick in, which is just part of living in Bangalore. We’ve been around for a long time in this same spot. It’s just a regular workplace where we focus on the task at hand without much fuss or complication. We keep the files moving and the chairs filled every day.
