You can find Georje Jacob Exports at 1096, 12Th Main, in the HAL 2Nd Stage area of Indira Nagar. It’s a pretty busy part of the city, and our office is right in the thick of it. We spend our days mostly on the phone or responding to emails about shipments and export schedules. The space is filled with files and folders because there’s always a lot of paperwork when you’re dealing with international stuff. It’s not a very big team here, just a few of us who have been doing this for a long time. We know the routines of the ports and the customs agents pretty well by now. Indira Nagar is a nice place to be, though finding a spot to park the scooter in the morning can be a real struggle. We usually have our lunch at the small places nearby or bring tiffins from home. The office isn't anything special, just some desks, a few computers, and a lot of coffee being drank to keep us going through the afternoon slump. We don't really have a showroom or anything since we’re focused on the export side of things. Sometimes clients stop by to discuss details, and we sit around the old wooden table in the back. It’s a steady kind of work. We just try to keep the boxes moving and make sure nothing gets stuck at the border for too long.
